Small Closet Organization Systems
If your budget won’t allow a complete Master Closet makeover, don’t fret, with our Small Closet Organization Systems you can maximize the closet space you have Your “custom designed” closet doesn’t have to cost a fortune to be effective. Let’s take a look at my FIVE-STEP Game Plan to creating AND maintaining a closet you’ll love walking into every morning!
- List the categories of items that NEED to be stored in your closet. (some of us store more than just clothing!)
- Be ruthless, and purge at least 25% of your closet. Ask yourself…does this fit? Does this make me feel good? Does this reflect my style? Let it GO if the answer is NO.
- Design the space by first sorting your clothes. Estimate the amount and type of storage you need, including shelving, cubbies, additional rods for hanging, and organizers for accessories.
- Shop with a plan, and don’t forget to measure the shelves and space you have. Might be handy to take a quick photo to better visualize what you need to work with.
- Maintain and “tweek” your storage needs. Do a major purge once or twice a year as the seasons change. When you purchase a new item, don’t forget to donate something old.
